This Wednesday, March 22, Kenan Thompson and Michael Che from the cast of Saturday Night Live will be performing at the O’Connell Center. The show is free for UF students, no tickets necessary. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. The event is hosted by ACCENT Speakers Bureau. There will also be a Q & A after the performance moderated by Dave Itzkoff, Culture Reporter for the New York Times
Kenan Thompson has been a cast member of SNL since 2003. Prior to his late-night career, he was a cast member on the kids’ sketch comedy show All That on Nickelodeon, notorious for the popular sketch-turned-movie Good Burger.
Michael Che began as a writer for SNL in 2013 and became a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in 2014. At the end of 2014 Che returned to SNL as a Weekend Update correspondent alongside co-host Colin Jost, where he remains today. Che also has his own hour-long Netflix stand-up special, Michael Che Matters.
